Those were dark days for the Black Cats, but now they are hitting back with a talented playing roster. Indeed, they have the youngest average starting XI in the Championship this season.
Hunger, desire, commitment, and diligence are words that spring to mind when describing Sunderland’s current squad.
After what has felt like ages, the sun finally seems to be shining again at the Stadium of Light.
