JONNY BRICK CELEBRATES FAMOUS ASSISTANT MANAGERS

REMEMBER in the Austin Powers films when Doctor Evil often turned to his assistant henchman, named Number Two? I reckon we should celebrate football’s Number Twos a lot more than we do.
Assistant managers have been depicted on the TV show Ted Lasso. Good old Ted is helped out at AFC Richmond by Coach Beard whose blunt directness serves as a foil to the folksy head coach.
Also on the coaching staff is former kit manager Nathan Shelley whose knowledge of the game led to a promotion and an eventual move to a Premier League club.
