HE 2010 General Election probably doesn’t hold many fond memories for Gordon Brown. He suffered a heavy defeat which led to his retirement as Prime Minister. He also called a woman from Rochdale ‘bigoted’ , which effectively put the nail in his coffin. His time as Prime Minister was hardly radical nor popular, and yet, in his 2010 Election Manifesto there were potentially ground-breaking proposals that could have changed the face of English football.
