THEY lack wit and ingenuity, play like strangers and are routinely outperformed by the opposition. No, not the England football team – I’m talking about the band which plays at most of their matches.
Watching the over-hyped national side underperform at major tournaments is bad enough, but in recent years it has been made worse by having to listen to the England Supporters Band murdering tunes we either once loved or always hated.
