IN THE press recently there was a lot of fuss about fixtures potentially being moved to Christmas Eve, which this year is on a Sunday, by the TV networks scrambling for ratings.
In the event, the Premier League ruled it out.
There’s no doubt most fans would prefer not to travel to games on what is a chaotic day for transport.
Indeed, vast swathes of the British population set aside Christmas Eve for last-minute trolley dashes and to travel home for family reunions.
