BBC Sports Report is a programme that has an incredible history. First broadcast in 1948, it is now approaching its 75th birthday – no wonder it’s the longest running radio sports programme in the world.
And if you wanted someone to write a book about all the adventures in that time, then who better than Pat Murphy? Starting in late 1981, he is now the longest-serving regular contributor to Sports Report.
