EVERYONE was quick to adopt shocked faces and jump aboard the outraged bandwagon following Martin O’Neill’s sacking by Sunderland.
Match of the Day, broadcast just hours after the decision was announced, was all stern faces, thin lips and shaking heads – it felt like the coverage of a state funeral.
