SPOTLAND Stadium, Rochdale, has always been a little short on heroes. There’s the late Reg Jenkins, whose goals fired the 1969-vintage Dale to promotion from the Fourth Division.
Gary Jones, who played a record 325 games for the club, has gone on to make a major name for himself this season in Bradford City’s heroic run to the League Cup final.
