THE recent Late Tackle article listing ‘100 Things We Hate About Football’ had some excellent points in it, including highlighting my pet hate, the short corner, at Number 91, although I feel that it should have been much higher (or is that lower?) up the chart.
And in answer to the question posed in that article…yes, it works about once a year, but that’s always on Match of the Day, so that’s why footballers keep indulging in this useless tactic.
