Powerhouse: Ipswich Town’s Kevin Beattie

THE late Kevin Beattie is sadly missed – but efforts to keep his legacy alive are well under way.
An Ipswich Town stalwart of the 70s and early 80s, legendary defender Beattie won the FA Cup and UEFA Cup with the Suffolk outfit and also earned nine England caps.
With strength, speed and technical ability, Beattie, who passed away three years ago at the age of 64, would have easily achieved a lot more if injuries hadn’t dogged his career.
