THERE were some great goals at Euro 2012...Balotelli’s rocket against Germany, Ronaldo’s 70m sprint to get on the end of Nani’s through ball against Holland and Zlatan Ibrahimovic ’s acrobatic scissor kick for Sweden against France.
What we all really remember about the big tournaments is goals. And in the Euros, there were plenty of crackers. What formation did Holland play in 1988? Who knows? But who scored THAT goal from the impossible angle against Russia? See?
