ICLOSE the door behind me, take half-a-dozen paces down the corridor and press the button for the lift.
It takes me down nine floors to reception and then I turn the handle of the heavy door at the entrance to the apartment block and head outside.
It’s a bright, warm day and I can feel the heat of the sun on the back of my neck. I’m grateful for the fact I’m just wearing a pair of shorts and a t-shirt – the sweat would be pouring off me in just a few minutes otherwise.
