THE time is right and the time is now. The opportunity is upon us. We must seize the chance and end this lunacy. Football isn’t “the beautiful game” so let’s stop pretending. Better still, let’s banish that godforsaken phrase to the bin. Forever. Delete it from the dictionaries, wipe it from the web. Let’s get a campaign going so it no longer lingers on the lips of the commentator or creeps into copy of the match-day reporter. This bollocks belongs in Room 101.
