YOU know what they say about being bottom at Christmas. In the Premier League, propping up the table when the Turkey comes out is a bit like being Ferrari’s second driver – you’re along for the ride but the chances of glory are basically zero.
Indeed, only the West Brom side of 2004-05 have ever survived being bottom at Crimbo, an achievement made all the more remarkable for the fact that they were managed by Bryan Robson.
